So who gets to bash RCMP head’s-in….

When they go on strike ?
The Harper government is expected to table legislation Thursday that would ease a longstanding ban on collective bargaining in the RCMP, following a court ruling that concluded the prohibition on unionization was unconstitutional…@
I only ask because when we peons go on strike or voice dissenting opinions the RCMP are usually the one’s sent in to “restore order”.
Indeed many of the officers seem to relish those, I’m da man moments.
Check out ‘Sgt. Pepper’ , it’s his Zen & a-big-ass-bottle-of-pepper-spray moment…
On Libby Davies & Phony self-rightous twits
June 20, 2010
A specter haunts the land, the specter of idiocy…
Sometimes I can’t help it but think I live in some weird kind of lala land. The latest outrage of the pro-Israeli crowd just get dumber and dumber,if that’s even possible anymore.
Unfortunately it seems it is, how else can one describe the lunatic attack on Libby Davies ?
What actually did Libby say well nothing really, but hey judge for yourself.
Then juxtapose her words alongside those of David Ben Gurion – the first PM of Israel…
“Why should the Arabs make peace? If I was an Arab leader I would never make terms with Israel. That is natural: we have taken their country. Sure God promised it to us, but what does that matter to them? Our God is not theirs. We come from Israel, it’s true, but two thousand years ago, and what is that to them? There has been antisemitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault? They only see one thing: we have come here and stolen their country. Why should they accept that?”
~David Ben Gurion, Prime Minister of Israel, to Nahum Goldmann, President of the World Jewish Congress, in 1956
…and what do you get ? Well not much hardly controversial , hardly antisemitic. But then again, perhaps truth has also joined the ranks of the “antisemitic”,perhaps even David Ben Gurion !
Don’t laugh,in the whacked out world of that crowd everything is plausible.
And on it goes , where the insanity and intellectual dishonesty ends nobody knows.
It seems that nobody is immune to public displays of stupidity . Indeed it’s akin to a competition to determine who is the dumbest in all the land.

Changes between May 3rd 2010 thru June 3rd 2010 Nanos Research
Conservatives 35.6% (down 1.6)
Liberals 29.2% (down 4)
NDP 20.7% (up 4.5)
Of note:
Conservatives down 13 points in the Prairies and NDP up 10.1 points there.
Ontario:
Conservatives up 6.1
NDP up 2.4
Liberals down 9.2
Atlantic:
NDP up 8
BC:
Liberals down 10.9
Greens up 5.7
And what’s all this nonsense talk about coalitions , bah humbug I say. The NDP is doing just fine.
Indeed why exactly are the Lib’s even talking about this ? Such talk reeks of weakness and points to a leadership that is confused & unsure of how to proceed.
Once bitten twice shy I suppose.

and “we’re helping Arabs go against the US, don’t forget 9/11.”
Was the cry from the Mavi Marmara ,so claimed the IDF.
My,my…how convenient. All the red button issues -sure to piss-off the maximum number of people possible & Americans to-boot – all in one short made for T.V quote. Kind’a like a two-for-one deal.
The IDF has since been forced to retract, admitting that they had in fact doctored the audio clips.
In the hands of Israeli propagandist’s it would seem that the holocaust , just like the ubiquitous charges of antisemitism , has become just another propaganda tool .
So much for the sanctity of the holocaust.
The webs, that lies weave…anti-Semites are every where and no where.
Harper’s “Principled” Foreign Policy

Paul Wells on Canadian Harper Israeli relations…
The Economist chronicled some of the changes in an article last week, calling the two countries “unlikely allies.” It quoted Avigdor Lieberman, Israel’s hardline foreign minister: “It is hard to find a country friendlier to Israel than Canada these days . . . No other country in the world has demonstrated such a full understanding of us.”…
Kind’a like dumb and dumber…
The Economist’s piece lists the elements of the Harper-Israel rapprochement, including his description of Israel’s behaviour during its 2006 war against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon as “measured,” and his government’s decision to halt core funding of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, a move the U.S. has not matched.
Further more…
The magazine even mentioned Harper has cut funding to Kairos, the ecumenical Christian charity, “alleging that the group was anti-Semitic.” This led Alykhan Velshi, the communications director for Immigration Minister Jason Kenney, to exalt on Twitter: “The PM’s principled foreign policy getting noticed!”
Which is odd…
because the last time somebody—the Toronto Star—asserted it was allegations of anti-Semitism that got Kairos its funding cut, his boss Kenney wrote to the Star to insist nothing could be further from the truth. “I did not accuse Kairos of being anti-Semitic,”
Which is even odder…
because 12 days before he told the Star he didn’t call Kairos anti-Semitic, Kenney was in Jerusalem calling Kairos anti-Semitic. “We have implemented a zero tolerance approach to anti-Semitism,” he said. “What does this mean? We have defunded organizations, most recently like Kairos, who are taking a leadership role in the boycott.”

There are few things quite as disingenuous & arrogant as those, who from afar , dismiss & downplay the brutal killing of unarmed civilians involved in, OMG, a humanitarian mission.
The audacity & the intellectual dishonesty involved in the twisting of facts for partisan reasons is just staggering .
Unfortunately this type of thinking is all to common particularly from the pro-Israeli camp.
Nothing Israel does , or has done can be criticized or condemned. Israel is always right, nothing it does is ever beyond the pale.
Not so those who would dare criticize or resist the inhumane actions,in this case the collective punishment of an entire people by an occupying power. Not even the shooting down of the unarmed & innocent. For them, not even violent death is too much.
If there is one piece of ancient wisdom that has never lost even a bit of its validity over the centuries, it is Cornelius Tacitus’ axiom that, “Crime, once exposed, has no refuge but in audacity.”…@
Terry Glavin opines on the Gaza flottila…
That is what this “anti-war” activism is about, and no amount of histrionics, excuse-making, yes-buttery or cunning public-relations work can wash the blood from their hands. Hideously self-aggrandizing revisionism cannot cover up what this spectacularly narcissistic act of moral exhibitionism was intended to conceal from the start.
This is about the continuing isolation and demonization of Israel, undermining the Palestinian Authority, and strengthening Hamas – which now enjoys the support of only 16 per cent of the people of Gaza, its stronghold…@
And on it goes where the insanity will stop, nobody knows…
UPDATE :
In the same vein from Lorne Gunter (National Post) we get the ubiquitous “what-if -analysis”. Rather than analyzing the actual facts of the actual event the Gunter’s of the world do their part to obfuscate & deflect attention by substituting an analysis of a fairy tale.
And on it goes & goes…
